One block of Washington closed May 12 - May 19 in Downtown
One block of SE Washington Street between SE 21st and Main Street will be closed for Portland Milwaukie Light Rail roadway improvements Monday, May 12th through Saturday, May 19th. SE 21st and SE Main Streets will remain open.
Crews will construct a new concrete crosswalk on Washington Street and a new bus stop and sidewalk in front of Bernard’s Garage. Work will be conducted Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. During this closure local access will be provided to Foxy’s, Libby’s and Bernard’s parking lot driveways. Pedestrian access will be provided at all times. On street parking in this block will be very limited.
Detour Route
- Vehicles traveling westbound on Washington to McLoughlin will be detoured at SE 21st to Jefferson or Monroe Streets
- Vehicles traveling from McLoughlin eastbound on Washington will be detoured at Main Street to Jefferson or Monroe Streets
