NRO Advisory Group Information
One of the key components of the project was an Advisory Group established to work with City staff and advise the Planning Commission.
The Advisory Group was comprised of a mix of representatives from local agencies and community organizations as well as property owners and residents who may be directly affected by the proposed code changes. Participants included representatives from the City’s Parks & Recreation Board, Riverfront Board, North Clackamas School District, North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District, Friends of Kellogg & Mt. Scott Creeks, North Clackamas Urban Watersheds Council, Milwaukie Presbyterian Church, Blount International, and Portland Waldorf School as well as various property owners along Johnson and Kellogg Creeks and from several city neighborhoods.
The Advisory Group has no formal membership, and all meetings were open to the public. The group met six times between September 2009 and June 2010, including a joint session with the Planning Commission.
