Electronic Storage Device (ESD) Detection K9
The Milwaukie Police Department investigations division is responsible for training and maintaining our Electronic Storage Device Detection K9, Flora.
Flora is a mixed breed red fox lab and golden retriever specially trained to aid in searches for electronic data storage devices. She has been trained to detect even trace amounts of TPPO a chemical used in the manufacture of these devices and can even detect them in several feet of water.
Flora is also a trained emotional support dog and service animal. She attends community events and provides demonstrations. She was acquired through the support of the Milwaukie Public Safety Foundation a long standing Milwaukie Police K9 supporter.
