Ardenwald Johnson Creek Concert in the Park August 2023

The city's neighborhood associations bring great family-friendly events to Milwaukie year after year! Check out all the free shows the Ardenwald-Johnson Creek and Lewelling Neighborhoods are having this August. The North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) will hold concerts in local parks in July. Some of the best bands in the area play at the Sunday Farmers Market from May through October. Porchfest continues this year with July concerts all around town. Come out and enjoy the music! 

MILWAUKIE SUNDAY FARMERS MARKET • May through October (9:30 - 2 pM) 
  • Come enjoy some of the best bands in the area at the market! From folk to blues to world music. You never know what you are going to see or hear at the market.
First Friday - may through october (5-8 PM) 
  • First Friday is a celebration of art, music, food and community. The downtown Milwaukie community comes together for the city's largest block party. 
Porchfest - July 12, 19, and 26, 2024 (6:30 PM - 8:30 PM)
  • Porchfest is a free festival of performances on porches, driveways and public spaces across Milwaukie. People are encouraged to walk or bike their neighborhoods, meet their neighbors, and share their talents with the community. Event is organized by the Milwaukie Arts Committee.
NCPRD Concerts in the Park - July 13, 16, and 25, 2024
  • Sat., Jul. 13, 2024 (5-8 p.m.; music at 6 p.m.) - Petty Fever
    • Enjoy waterfront views while dancing to your favorite Tom Petty hits. Petty Fever, a multi-award winning, full-production tribute band will take the stage and transport you back in time with a supremely authentic Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers concert experience. An amazing variety of food trucks and brew vendors will be onsite.
    • Milwaukie Bay Park, 11211 SE McLoughlin Blvd. 
  • Tue., Jul. 16, 2024 (6:30-8 p.m.; music at 7 p.m.) - Clancy Newman and Stewart Goodyear - Chamber Music Northwest Summer Festival 
    • Spend a summer evening outdoors enjoying chamber music in the park, with a special performance by cellist Clancy Newman and pianist Stewart Goodyear. The musicians will perform a variety of music (both new and well loved) sure to entertain the entire family! Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy food by Hearth and Soul Pizza.
    • North Clackamas Park, 5440 SE Kellogg Creek Dr. 
  • Thu., Jul. 25, 2024 (5-7 p.m.; music at 6 p.m.) - Red Yarn
    • Kids and their families are invited to join us for a delightful 45-minute folk concert with Andy Ferguson, aka “Red Yarn,” and his puppet critters. With traditional and original songs that blend folk, rock’n’roll, country and blues, Red Yarn’s sound is both rooted and modern. His energetic performances will have you singing, dancing, making new friends and experiencing the joy of community at this inclusive family event.

Lewelling Concerts • Wednesdays in August at 6:30 PM in Ball-Michel Park 

Vendors include Bella the Pizza bus (Hearth & Soul Pizza)

  • Aug. 8, 2024 - PDX Jazz Quintet (Jazz)
  • Aug. 15, 2024 - The Blue's Mama's including Myrtle Brown, Sonny Hess, Lisa Mann and Kelly Pierce (R&B) 
  • Aug. 22, 2024 - Sabroso (Latin to Funk)
