Main Street Crossing Lowering  This completed project increases clearance and provides better safety for the under crossing. Construction work included advanced warning signs and devices to protect the railroad bridge.
Milwaukie Bay Park Bank Repair The Milwaukie Bay Park bank repair construction was completed during the late fall of 2018 to provide bank stabilization. Low water level areas are open to the public.
Milwaukie High School Improvements The Milwaukie High School Bond Project improvements began in June 2018. For more information on FAQs and construction updates, you may visit North Clackamas Schools website.
Northwest Housing Alternatives Campus The completed Northwest Housing Alternative Campus (NHA) features 28 units, and 8 family shelter units. For more information on NHA, you may visit their 'About Us' tab through their main webpage.
Phase I: Washington Street Storm Pipe Replacement  This storm water pipe replacement project replaced former under capacity piping in Washington and Main Street, with 24 and 30 in. piping. The new storm water pipeline will run along Washington and Main, from the west side of the TriMet line, to the outfall at Kellogg Lake.
South Downtown Plaza The South Downtown Plaza was designed to create a shared street space through a Dutch method called a woonerf. The concept of a woonerf is to enhance the function of a street to serve as a safe shared space for pedestrians, bikes, and vehicles. When Main Street is closed for events, the street functions as an open gathering location. The Plaza meets accessibility compliance standards, and functions as a large accessible crosswalk, which includes signs, domes, and bollards. The Plaza mosaic designs are inlayed within colored concrete to create a smooth and non-slip surface. Washington and Main Street Reconstruction The Washington and Main Street improvements included new sidewalks, street lighting, water and electrical connections, installation of underground utilities, and reconstruction of the roadways. The design has brought Washington and Main up to Milwaukie Municipal Code standards.
