General Inspection Information
The Building Division inspects:
- New construction (under a permit with the office)
- Remodels, additions and alterations (under a permit with the office)
- Valid formal complaints and cases for the city’s code enforcement
- Structurally-dangerous buildings
- Fire and life safety issues
The Building Division does not inspect:
- Mold
- Existing buildings
- Tenant /landlord issues
Inspection requests made before 7 a.m. are done the same business day. Inspections are typically performed between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
