2024 Curbside Bulky Waste Disposal Event
REMINDER: For missed pickups, call your hauler. City staff cannot schedule or address missed pick-ups and will ask you to contact your specific hauler.
Milwaukie's garbage and recycling collectors offer a curbside pick-up for large, bulky items that do not fit in the weekly collection containers. Please reach out to your hauler directly with questions regarding eligible items or other concerns. This event occurs on the second and third Saturday of June, depending on home address. This year's collection dates are:
June 8 & 15, 2024

HOW IT WORKS
- All items must be set out where garbage and recycling carts are typically placed by 4 a.m. on collection day.
- Bulky items will be picked up on hauler’s regular routes—there is no need to call in advance to schedule.
- Collection will take all day and could run into the evening hours. Items left on Sunday may be ineligible for pickup. Please contact your hauler directly to verify eligibility. Click here to find your hauler.
- More than one truck will travel neighborhood streets collecting items. For example, one truck will collect appliances, while another truck will collect tires.
- This is not a recycling event. All items are treated as garbage and placed in a landfill. Please consider donation, reuse or recycling options for your items. Click here to find a recycler.
- Items must not exceed the equivalent of five garbage bags or one couch.
