Community Development Programs
Community Development manages several ongoing programs. Click on programs below or at the right-hand menu for additional details.
Community Development also had a role in establishing, and still has a role in managing ongoing programs in other Departments, such as the Street Surface Maintenance Program.
Current Programs:
The City of Milwaukie is assisting downtown businesses, property owners, and interested residents to initiate a Main Street program.
The Walk Safely Milwaukie Program (WSMP) empowers Milwaukie’s neighborhoods to identify and implement local projects and other citizen-led activities to make walking in Milwaukie a more comfortable and commonplace experience.
Welcome to Milwaukie - a thriving small city with big plans, and the commitment to make them happen.
Street Surface Maintenance Program
In spring 2006, City staff attended neighborhood and other civic group meetings to discuss the state of the City's street system.
