The Portland Metro region is home to numerous artisan organizations, trade groups, maker spaces, startup communities, fab labs, groups, and guilds helping to develop the artisan community and transform ideas into actual artisan businesses. TRADE GROUPS
Technology Association of Oregon
- Supports a number of communities within the local technology industry.
- Hosts multiple events every month.
Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnership
- Helps Oregon manufacturers respond to the challenges of competing in an increasingly global economy
MAKER SPACES AND COLLECTIVES
- Located at 2710 N. Interstate Ave. Portland, Beam and Anchor provides small spaces for crafts people. They have machines and space for rent.
- Located at 7608 N Interstate Ave Portland, CtrlH provides small spaces and machines for crafts people. They also sell memberships.

- Collects used electronics, runs volunteer program that builds and donates computers to participants and schools.
