Project Details

The Wastewater Main Repair Program was created to replace and/or repair sewer pipes that have diminishing structural integrity and inadequate flow conditions. In the 2012 program year, the City will be replacing a damaged 12-inch concrete sewer pipe which runs under Highway 99E near Hanna Harvester Drive. The existing concrete pipe is structurally failing in multiple locations along its length. The replacement method will be pneumatic pipe bursting which will allow replacement without any excavation within Highway 99E. The replacement pipe will be a 12-inch, thick-walled high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe.

Alerts & Updates

All high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe has been installed as of Thursday August 30, 2012 (approximately 200 feet of 12-inch HDPE). The Contractor will be focusing on roadway restoration on Main Street, replacing a manhole near Johnson Creek, and landscape restoration starting on Tuesday September 4 and continuing through Friday September 7. There may be short delays on SE Main Street at Hanna Harvester Drive due to paving operations and the far right lane on Highway 99E southbound will be closed between the hours of 9AM and 3PM the early part of the week.
