The Milwaukie Historical Society, in partnership with the City of Milwaukie, Ledding Library and Willamette Falls Studio, is proud to present The Councilors on Wednesday, March 1 at 6 p.m. in the Ledding Library (10660 SE 21st Ave.) community room. During this next installment of the Ledding Library Lecture Series, community members can get a comprehensive look into the work of Milwaukie’s City Councilors and how they have helped shape the city’s past and future.
Special guests include former City Councilors Shane Abma (2017-2020), Kathy Hyzy (2018-2022) and Wilda Parks (2015-2020). The program also includes a special presentation by City Councilor Adam Khosroabadi and a history lesson by Scott Stauffer, city recorder. The event is designed as a casual conversation with audience participation.
For those who can’t attend in-person, a Zoom option is available (see below) and the event is rebroadcast on Comcast channel 30, locally, and uploaded to the Milwaukie Heritage YouTube channel. For more information, visit the Milwaukie History Museum’s Facebook page.
