The Swarm of Light is a collection of poems by Suzanne Sigafoos published by I-BeaM Books in 2020. Her chapbook, Held in the Weave, appeared earlier from Finishing Line Press. A poet and essayist, her writing has been seen in USA Today: The Oregonian; Bellingham Review,: Windfall – a journal of Poetry or Place; ViceCatcher Journal, The Poetry Box: and Lightwood Journal, among others. She has led creative writing residencies in Portland public schools and served as editor for Voice Catcher Journal. Most recently, her poem, “Marilyn Shooting The Misfits ” is part of an anthology, “I Wanna Be Loved By You: Poems on Marilyn Monroe” – a prismatic tribute to an American artist on the 60th anniversary of her death, edited by Susanna H. Case and Margo Taft Stever, published by Milk & Cake Press.
A huge thanks to the City of Milwaukie, the Ledding Library, the Willamette Falls Media Center and to all the volunteers who make this reading possible.
