Attendance Court
Working in partnership with the North Clackamas School District, the Milwaukie Municipal Court holds attendance court once a month during the school year, usually October thru June.
Parents of children between ages 5 to 18, who have not completed the 12th grade and eligible to be enrolled in a school are required to send them to school. Parents must ensure regular attendance at a public, full-time school during the entire school term. If not, the parent is cited into the court under the state law Duty to Send Children to School.
The parent and student are required to appear in court at the assigned date. At that time, the parent has the opportunity to plead no contest or not guilty to the charge.
