Earth Day 2025

In celebration of Earth Day, the city is hosting a volunteer event focused on environmental restoration for pollinators, trash pick-up, and vegetated bump-out maintenance in downtown Milwaukie. Participants will choose between one or more of these three focus groups led by volunteer crew leaders. There will also be a Bee Wings decoration contest, numerous organizations with information tables, music, and spring weather so come join in the fun!

Registration will also be available at the event. Light refreshments will be provided. Volunteers should wear weather-appropriate clothing and shoes for uneven or muddy terrain. Gloves and tools will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own. A portable restroom will be provided at the site. The city highly encourages volunteers to carpool, bicycle, or utilize the nearby MAX station to access the event. This page will be updated as plans are confirmed, so check back closer to the event day for updates.
