In 2011, the City of Shoreline, Washington, completed a Green Streets Demonstration Project on a street that is similar in scale and nature to the eastern portion of Monroe Street (between 42nd Ave and Linwood Ave). The City of Shoreline website provides more information about that project, including a short video that shows images of the improvements, some of which might work on Monroe Street.
