Logus Road Phase I
Logus Road Phase I was the City's first "green street" project. Approximately 2,000 linear feet of pervious sidewalks were added on Logus Road between Stanley Avenue and 49th Avenue. The project was designed to slow traffic and incorporated rain gardens to manage stormwater.
The project was jointly funded by the City of Milwaukie, the State of Oregon's Bicycle and Pedestrian Program, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development via a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) award, managed by Clackamas County Community Development. Construction was completed in Summer 2008.
The project was designed by Harper Houf Peterson Rhighellis, with consultation on "green street" design from Nevue Ngan landscape architects, and constructed by Dow Bros.
