City Council unanimously adopts the South Downtown Plan

With City Council unanimously passing a resolution adopting the South Downtown Plan at its Sept. 6, 2011 Council Meeting, Milwaukie’s Planning Department will now begin the work of realigning its policies in order to accommodate the objectives of the plan.

Lake Road Improvement Project will impact Rowe and downtown school commutes

With the Lake Road Improvement Project construction in full swing, dropping off and picking up school children at Rowe Middle School, and downtown schools, such as Milwaukie High School, Milwaukie Elementary, the Waldorf School and St. Johns Catholic School could be a little more complicated.

City Council unanimously adopts electronic signage code amendments at Nov. 15th session

Update: 11/16/11: City Council unanimously adopted the sign code with the its suggested amendments at its November 15, 2011 regular session.

Council unanimously votes to discontinue baseball project and focus efforts on developing Riverfront Park

8/22/12: Councl unanimously voted to end the effort to bring pro baseball to Milwaukie and asked city staff to refocus its energies on developing Milwaukie Riverfront Park at its Aug. 21st meeting.
