3 Parks Master Plans
Update: On Tuesday, August 11, 2015, the Milwaukie Planning Commission recommended adoption of the 3 Parks Master Plans. The master plans are for Balfour Park, Bowman-Brae Park, and the Robert Kronberg Nature Park (File #CPA-2015-002). The next City Council public hearing on the master plans is tentatively scheduled for October 20, 2015.
The master plans for Balfour Park, Bowman-Brae Park, and the Robert Kronberg Nature Park will be adopted as ancillary documents to the Milwaukie Comprehensive Plan and a land use designation of "Public" will be applied to Balfour and Bowman-Brae Parks (Kronberg Park is already designated as "Public"). This change in designation requires a Comprehensive Plan map amendment. The draft master plans were developed with community input in 2014 and early 2015. The design for a fourth park, Wichita Park, was approved by the Planning Commission in May 2014.
