Preapplication Conference Reports
What is a Preapplication Conference?
Preapplication conferences are meetings held between City of Milwaukie staff and members of the public who are considering submitting a land use application to the city. Unless waived by the Planning Manager, preapplication conferences are required for all land use application types except for Type I (MMC 19.1002).
The purpose of these conferences is for prospective applicants to become familiar with the requirements, standards, and applicable approval criteria of the Milwaukie Municipal Code as the code pertains to their proposed land use development.
PLEASE NOTE: Many preapplication conferences do not result in a land use application submittal. Sometimes developers or property owners are simply exploring options and want to ask questions about development requirements and the review process. In cases where projects move forward and applications are eventually submitted, most proposals are revised in some way from the plans discussed in the preapplication conference.
Preapplication Conference Reports
Materials posted to the webpages below are informational only. Unless otherwise noted on the individual pages, no applications have been filed for these projects. The Preapplication Conference Reports are City staff notes about whether a proposed project appears to meet the current development standards of the City, what land use applications would be required, and the application review timeline. Reports may identify what changes and/or additional materials may be needed to submit a land use application.

For any questions about a proposed land use, please contact the applicant contact listed on the conference report page.
