12 arrested during interagency Human Trafficking Mission

Milwaukie, OR – on 2/28/24, Milwaukie Police participated in an Interagency mission targeting human trafficking. Decoy officers posed as both sellers of sex and purchasers of sex on popular online dating sites and applications. Investigators directed those on the dating sites who agreed to sexual acts in exchange for money to two different locations in the City of Milwaukie.

Sellers (survivors) were arrested upon arrival and issued a citation release for ORS 167.007 (Prostitution). They were directed to on-scene support services provided by the Clackamas County Victim’s Advocates and Safety Compass. Three of the survivors were identified as previously trafficked. Two of the survivors arrived with sex traffickers, who were taken into custody. One of the traffickers arrived with a handgun and a large amount of cash. Those trafficking suspects were lodged at the Clackamas County Jail.

Sex buyers with directions to a separate location in the City of Milwaukie, were arrested and issued a citation release for ORS 167.007 (Prostitution -Buyer).   

 

Investigators are concerned the following sex traffickers, who were arrested for ORS 167.012 (Prostitution – Promoting), have additional victims.
