Community Member and Resident Opportunities
Milwaukie's Police Department welcomes resident participation. Here are some ways you can get involved with your local law enforcement agency.
Resident Ride-Along Program: The Milwaukie Police Department offers a citizen ride-along program that provides an opportunity for citizens to observe the law-enforcement function first hand.
Public Safety Advisory Committee: The Public Safety Advisory Committee is established for the purpose of advising and making recommendations on community livability concerns related to public safety and neighborhood livability in Milwaukie and its Urban Growth Boundary.
Neighborhood District Associations: A Neighborhood District Association (NDA) links the neighborhood together to create a vibrant and local democracy, as well as a stronger community! Every person who lives in Milwaukie city limits belongs to one of the city's seven NDAs They are powerful resources. They are the officially recognized voice of the neighborhood, and the basic building blocks of democracy in Milwaukie.
