Male deceased in auto vs. pedestrian crash
**Update 4/10 1:25 PM**
The deceased male's family has been notified and is identified as Louis Daniel Rodrigues, 80 of Milwaukie. Mr. Rodrigues was crossing SE Mcloughlin Blvd. in an area with no marked or unmarked crossing and shortened driver visibility when this tragic event occurred. No criminal or traffic citations have been issued in this investigation.

SE Mcloughlin Blvd is fully open

On 4/9/24 at 1:40 PM, Milwaukie Police were called to SE Mcloughlin Blvd. near the intersection of SE 22nd Ave. on for the report of a pedestrian who was struck by a passenger vehicle.
Officers arrived and learned a male was in the roadway when he was struck by a motorist traveling on SE Mcloughlin Blvd. Milwaukie Police learned shortly after arriving the pedestrian was pronounced deceased. The motorist remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The Clackamas County crash reconstruction team was dispatched to the location and is working with Milwaukie Police and the medical examiner to process the scene as efficiently as possible and reopen traffic. At this time only one lane is open of SE Mcloughlin Blvd from SE Washington St. to SE River Rd.
No further information is available at this time, updates will be made available as more information is gathered.
