PGE Electric Tool Exchange - TOOL DEMO DAY
Wanting to upgrade your gas-powered yard tools? PGE is hosting an electric tool demonstration day on Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and an electric tool exchange on Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of City Hall at the Milwaukie Farmer’s Market. Community members can bring their old gas-powered lawnmowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws and trimmers to be recycled for free and receive a gift card to purchase a new electric tool from Ace Hardware. Please empty all fluids from tools before bringing to the exchange on August 8.

About the Event
Join PGE at Milwaukie City Hall on August 1 for an electric tool demonstration, and August 8 for an electric tool exchange! Learn about the benefits of electric tools, observe tool demonstrations, and be part of Milwaukie's Climate Collaborative. Recycle your gas-powered lawn equipment and receive a discount toward the future purchase of a new electric tool.
Bring your gas-powered lawn mower, leaf blower, chainsaw, or trimmer in for recycling. Make sure to empty all gas and oil from the tool in advance!
Calbag Metals will be on-site to collect gas-powered equipment free of charge.
Observe tool demonstrations at the on-site demo area and learn more about the benefits of going electric.
Receive a voucher for a discount on the future purchase of any electric lawn mower, leaf blower, chain saw, or trimmer. Participants will be able to use their discounts following the event at local and online retailers. Electric tools will not be available for purchase on-site.
