About Tideman Johnson Park
Tideman Johnson Park is a treasured natural area on the border of southeast Portland and Milwaukie. It’s a wildlife area that’s home to coyotes, beavers, dozens of varieties of birds and waterfowls (including the occasional bald eagles), and the site of a comprehensive plan to recover salmon and steelhead runs. The park is frequented by neighbors as well as by walkers and cyclists passing through on the Springwater Corridor Trail. Recent work in the park has reconstructed the original creek bed, created new riparian habitat, restored the natural floodplain, and reestablished native plants.
