Community Utility Advisory Committee (CUAC)

Overview
Appointments to the Community Utility Advisory Committee (CUAC) are made by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council.  Per the Milwaukie Municipal Code (MMC), the CUAC shall consist of five (5) at-large members, all of whom must be either live in the city, own a business in the city, or is pays for city administered utilities (water or wastewater). Budget Committee

State law (ORS 294.336) mandates for a Budget Committee for all Oregon local governments.

Applications will next be accepted February 1 to April 1, 2026.

NE Milwaukie Sewer Extension Project

The City of Milwaukie has completed a project that brings sewer service to the unincorporated area to the Northeast of the City's current boundary (called the Northeast Sewer Extension project, or NESE). This is a resource for residents in the area interested in connecting, and provides information about the construction.

Guided by the Comprehensive Plan, the Planning Department's primary function is to plan for the future of Milwaukie.

Library Board

The Library Board is comprised of nine (9) volunteer citizen members including two (2) youth members who meet on the 2nd Monday of each month and serve as advisors the City Council and library staff regarding the needs of the library and its patrons. The Board establishes and pursues an annual Work Plan that identifies various projects which include tasks assigned by the Milwaukie Municipal Code (MMC) such as:
