City Council Goals for 2025-2027

On February 4, 2025, the City Council approved Resolution 10-2025, adopting Council goals for calandar years 2025 to 2027. The goals are:

GOAL 1: Economic Development - Support Milwaukie's business districts and invest in neighborhood hubs.

GOAL 2: Parks and Greenspace - Deliver Milwaukie Bay Park and expand equitable access to green space, including the future restored Kellogg Creek Natural Area.

On Sep. 6, 2016, City Council adopted an Ordinance adding Title 21 to the Milwaukie Municipal Code. Title 21 requires all utilities to have a contractual agreement or a license to use the city’s right-of-way.

The goal is to accurately identify all right-of-way users and ensure fair, market-rate compensation for the use of this valuable asset.

City Hall Scarecrow Contest

The Milwaukie Arts Committee invites the community to create scarecrows that will go on display near the historic city hall building! Winners of the design contest, which are selected from three categories, receive gift cards to local businesses!

Concept plans for four Milwaukie Neighborhood parks developed with community input

North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District (NCPRD) and the City of Milwaukie are partnering to plan and develop the parks, which are currently known as Balfour, Bowman-Brae, Robert Kronberg  and Wichita parks. While funding to build the parks is not currently available, community input will help shape the concepts for the future parks.
