Milwaukie Film Series - 2017 Watershed Event

The Milwaukie Film Series returns for our 6th year with the 2017 Watershed Event and in celebration we’re going fishing! And we hope you’ll come along!

We’ll screen the NW premier of ‘Finding Fontinalis’, by Travis Lowe . The film documents the journey of fishermen who are inspired by an old gaucho’s tale to search for a new world-record brook trout; but the water, landscape and the culture surrounding them became the impetus to conserve and protect it all. The old gaucho gets two thumbs up and so does ‘Finding Fontinalis’.

In addition, we’ll screen ‘The Rapid Decline of the Lower Deschutes River’ by Steven Hawley. A short documentary about how this world class river has become a tragedy for fish and fishermen alike.

The event will be held at the J.C. Lillie Center for the Arts (11300 SE 23rd Ave.) located on the campus of Milwaukie High School and near the Milwaukie Light Rail Station.

The show starts at 7 p.m. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.).

Tickets are $8 online and $10 at the door. Guests under 17 are free!
