Climate Action Week - Health and Safety
Date
The natural hazards of climate change are being seen in the region, including an increased presence of wildfires. Milwaukie’s air quality declined from wildlife smoke last summer, impacting community health. Some simple actions in your home can improve your household air quality and prepare you for emergencies and hazards like these in the future.
Climate Action of the Day: Change your home’s air filter to improve indoor air quality and sign up for Clackamas County Public Alerts Notifications
- If you haven’t changed your air filter since our last smoky summer, swap out your old filter for a new one to improve your indoor air quality.
- Stay up to date and informed if there’s an emergency or natural hazard in your region!
- Sign up for Clackamas County’s Public Alerts Notification System to receive extremely important information during times of emergencies, including notices to evacuate, shelter-in-place, shelter locations, and other valuable resources and notices. Emergencies will happen – be ready for them when they do!
