Councilor Rebecca Stavenjord was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She grew up in Alaska and has been a resident of Oregon since 2000. She originally moved to Milwaukie in the early 2000s as a renter in the Linwood neighborhood and returned to purchase a home with her family in the Lewelling neighborhood.

Councilor Massey was looking for a hometown in 2015 and chose to make it in Milwaukie. In his career as a Naval Officer, he moved 13 times. So, after that vagabond life Milwaukie’s strong sense of community was very appealing to him.  While looking at a house for sale in Milwaukie a resident approached Robert and said moving here would be one of the best decisions he could make. Some of the best advice ever according to Robert.

The Milwaukie community will be a major beneficiary of the federal funds available through the recent Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The NOAA Restoration Center is recommending $15 million - its largest grant in history - for the Kellogg Creek Restoration and Community Enhancement Project (Kellogg Project). The effort will restore threatened fish access to 15 miles of habitat in the Kellogg Creek-Mt.
