Community Involvement and Outreach
Consistent with the community’s values of civic engagement in the planning process, Moving Forward Milwaukie will include a comprehensive and transparent public involvement effort. Learn more about opportunities to get involved below.
Beginning with the project kick-off in April 2013, staff has focused on reaching as many members of the community as possible in order to hear about how they would like downtown Milwaukie to feel and function. The following is a summary of outreach efforts and community involvement to date.

Community Involvement
Staff established a Project Advisory Committee (PAC) made up of members of the City Council, Planning Commission, Design and Landmarks Committee, South Downtown Steering Committee, NDA representatives, and community business owners, property owners, and residents. The Advisory Committee provides policy direction and feedback on proposed policies to the project team.
Stakeholder Interviews
The project team interviewed more than 25 stakeholders (City leaders, property owners, and key stakeholders in the project areas).
