Property Release Information

The Property and Evidence Division is responsible for securing and maintaining all property and evidence taken into custody by the Milwaukie Police Department. Property specialist ensures that all actions with the property and evidence are accurately documented until it is no longer needed for investigative purposes or court proceedings and can be either returned to owner or disposed of. Disposition of these items is governed under federal, state and local laws and ordinances. The majority of property and evidence releases require authorization from the investigative officer and/or the District Attorney’s Office prior to release.

Property releases are made by appointment only. Valid photo identification must be presented at time of appointment.
