The proposal is to convert a portion of the existing 775 sq ft detached garage into an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) and to expand the footprint of the structure.  This would result in a structure that is 893 square feet, of which 410 square feet would be the ADU, plus a 77 square-foot porch.

Proposal: Per Milwaukie Municipal Code Subsection 19.301.4, lots in the R-MD zone with a land area 7,000sq ft or greater are required to maintain a 5ft and 10ft side yard setback. The applicant is building an accessory dwelling unit that will reduce their existing 10ft side yard setback on the south side of the property to 5ft. This means that the north side yard becomes the 10ft side yard.

The Milwaukie Police is asking for the public's help in identifying this individual who is a theft suspect from a local retailer.

In October, Milwaukie Ledding Library is implementing modest changes to library hours.

These changes support the Library’s new Strategic Plan and Milwaukie Momentum, the City’s Strategic Plan.

Proposal: The applicant is applying for a conditional use permit to use a single-detached dwelling as a vacation rental. Operating a vacation rental requires a conditional use permit in the Moderate Density Residential zone. The property is currently used as the owner’s primary residence.
