The budget committee for the Milwaukie Redevelopment Commission will meet on May 4 at 9 a.m. at city hall (10501 SE Main St.) about the budget for the biennium (July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2026). This is a public meeting to receive the executive director’s budget message, as well as a presentation about the proposed biennial budget document.

Chief Ryan Burdick gave the Chief's oath of office at the Milwaukie City Council meeting on April 9th. An internal and external recruitment process was ran in early 2024 and Chief Burdick was selected as the Milwaukie Police Department head.

**Update 4/10 1:25 PM** 

The deceased male's family has been notified and is identified as Louis Daniel Rodrigues, 80 of Milwaukie. Mr. Rodrigues was crossing SE Mcloughlin Blvd. in an area with no marked or unmarked crossing and shortened driver visibility when this tragic event occurred. No criminal or traffic citations have been issued in this investigation. 

Beginning in May, the library’s hours will be changing!

We will begin opening 2 hours earlier on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. This will make it easier for you to swing by the library after visiting the Farmers’ Market in downtown Milwaukie.

We will also begin closing two hours earlier on Mondays (6:00 p.m. instead of 8:00 p.m.).
